Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at IGS Trucking LTD. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and travel for extended periods
