Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at SARABHA TRANSPORT LTD. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and long hours
  • Reliability and punctuality
