We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Kamsack Petro Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing bank reconciliations, and performing financial calculations such as costing and budgeting.
About the JobThis is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling large workloads and repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Prepare bank reconciliations and review financial data to identify discrepancies
- Perform financial calculations, including costing and budgeting, to support business decisions
- Assist with payroll preparation and manage cash transactions
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer complaints or concerns
- Degree in Accounting or related field (College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma)
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a retail service establishment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
