About the Role:

As a Medical Care Specialist in our hemodialysis unit, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and provide nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis. This involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized care plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.

You will also be responsible for operating dialysis equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed by physicians. In addition, you will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimize patient flow.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity (0.96 FTE) with rotating days and shift times from 06:30 to 18:30. You will be based in Kamloops, one of BC's sunniest cities, offering a great quality of life and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
