Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Business Leader to join our team at the Government of Canada - Western.

About the Role

This senior executive position plays a crucial role in leading and guiding organizational policies, programs, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic leadership, policy development, and program management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs aligned with government objectives.
  • Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to achieve optimal results.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for the organization, formulate policies, and approve programs.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions, delegating representatives as necessary.
  • Select middle managers, directors, or executive staff, delegate authority, and create optimum working conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, public administration).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a government or related organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful organizational policies and programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
