Compliance Monitoring and Regulatory Affairs
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, External Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to join our team at the Alberta Electric System Operator. As a senior member, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the compliance of market participants with ISO rules and certain Ancillary Service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase the efficacy of Compliance Monitoring Programs (CMP) through technology and process improvements.
- Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure ISO rules are appropriately monitored.
- Act as Compliance Monitoring lead in discussions and workgroups regarding ISO rule development, ISO rule application and market participant behavior.
- Utilize and develop data tools and monitoring techniques to enact the CMP.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in the electrical industry.
- Demonstrated extensive working knowledge and understanding of ISO rules and governing legislation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to review and draft written correspondence, and lead presentations and discussions.
- Ability to work with and lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders in a positive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work at a professional level of responsibility, independently and within a team environment.
