We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in compensation and benefits management, including data analysis and reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering total rewards programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the integrity of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing compensation data, preparing reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders;
  • Evaluating and recommending new or revised programs based on market trends and employee feedback;
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to streamline and improve total rewards processes through data analysis;
  • Collaborating closely with the Total Rewards team, Payroll, HR professionals, and other stakeholders to answer their different Total Rewards data needs and requirements;
  • Supporting the annual compensation cycle administration, including data validation, system testing, communication, and reporting;
  • Administering the company's Canadian benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs;
  • Collaborating with benefits providers to audit plan details, resolve discrepancies, and address employee issues;
  • Developing and executing audits of our programs, verifying providers' invoices, reviewing participant lists, examining employee premiums in payroll, auditing data exchanges between Stella-Jones and providers, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Administration, Actuarial Sciences, or another relevant field;
  • 2 years of experience in compensation and/or benefits management, including experience in reporting and data analysis;
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Dayforce would be an asset) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting;

About the Role:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and incentives, including extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a retirement program (RRSP) with generous Company match, a Company Share Purchase Program with 10% Company contribution match, and career advancement opportunities.
