Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on various electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test electro-mechanical equipment to identify issues and recommend repairs
  • Perform electrical tests using portable electronic equipment, including Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO
  • Install, remove, and repair AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, and precision measuring tools
  • Clean electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning
  • Ensure a professional environment by utilizing customer-facing skills and completing assigned work in compliance with operative policies and procedures

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Experienced Millwright with 5 to 10 years of AC/DC motor experience
  • PdMA testing experience preferred
  • Level 2 Vibration Analysis preferred
  • Proficient at alignments and on-site balancing
  • Proficient at sleeve bearing seating and inspection
  • Bentley system experience considered a plus
  • Proxy probe installation experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work procedures, and apply strong analytical problem-solving dynamics in a continuous improvement environment
  • Strong customer focus with professional communication
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required, willingness to be on call
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel locally and overnight

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per day
  • Acute hearing and strong field of vision
  • Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions
