Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on various electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely and effectively as part of a team to accomplish mutual goals.
  • Inspect and test electro-mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform electrical tests using portable electronic equipment, including Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO.
  • Install and remove AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, and perform precision measurements.
  • Clean electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning.
  • Ensure a professional environment by utilizing customer-facing skills and completing assigned work in compliance with operative policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Millwright with AC/DC motor experience.
  • PdMA testing experience preferred.
  • Level 2 Vibration Analysis preferred.
  • Proficient at alignments and on-site balancing.
  • Proficient at sleeve bearing seating and inspection.
  • Bentley system experience considered a plus.
  • Proxy probe installation experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work procedures, and apply strong analytical problem-solving dynamics in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Strong customer focus with professional communication.
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required, willingness to be on call.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally and overnight.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per day.
  • Acute hearing and strong field of vision.
  • Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
