Senior Mortgage Operations Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mortgage Operations Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at CMLS Financial. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or audit, commercial funding, commercial loan servicing, loan documentation and compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing review and inspection of loan files to ensure compliance with commercial mortgage funding quality and documentation standards. You will work closely with our Vice President and Managing Director, Commercial Mortgage Operations, to evaluate file documentation and identify areas for improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining current knowledge of CMLS' commercial mortgage division's policies, practices and compliance requirements;
- Reviewing and analyzing commercial mortgage file documents;
- Identifying areas of opportunity and weakness from trends in quality assurance analysis;
- Making recommendations on best practices to improve internal processes and procedures;
- Producing accurate reports on findings and providing additional information to management on identified training needs;
- Working with management to continually refine quality assurance guidelines and recommend changes to auditing process in response to changing business and risk management needs;
- Implementing process and internal control improvements;
- Delivering training support as needed;
- Supporting external audit and/or information requests related to operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- University degree in a related field, with a professional designation preferred;
- A high level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts;
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that promote mutually beneficial, respectful and professional relationships;
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills;
- A self-starter with ability to prioritize and redirect tasks based on needs;
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines;
- A strong attention to detail and quality in all areas of work;
- Advanced knowledge and user of MS Office, Excel in particular;
- An ability to operate independently with limited supervision and within a team.
The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
