About the Role:

As an Associate Principal at Softchoice, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in driving the design, development, and facilitation of cloud financial governance services, workshops, and engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an active contributor and play a key role in the end-to-end client engagement, driving awareness, understanding current capabilities, and advancing future outcomes.
  • Facilitate and contribute to service engagements by providing advisory services and thought leadership on cloud financial governance adoption; this includes conducting customer interviews, helping conduct workshops and working sessions, and creating customer presentations and deliverables.
  • Ensure constant awareness of evolving cloud financial governance & IT financial management practices while actively contributing to the FinOps Foundation and community.
  • See the big picture with the ability to start small and guide customers with strategic, technical, and cultural understanding to continue their innovation independently.
  • Work directly with existing and potential clients to develop and sell cloud financial services and support parallel solutions and services.
  • Perform the role of a thought leader and coach; provide input and guidance into service development and process improvement.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum five years of experience in IT finance or consulting in cloud advisory & IT strategy services, and be a Certified FinOps practitioner.
  • Strong consultative experience within the critical domains that make up IT finance and public cloud billing and commercial contracts.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about IT financial management (ITFM), technology business management (TBM), and IT asset management (ITAM).
  • Seeking to be an active member of the FinOps Foundation and community.
  • Ability to create client-facing deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate effective presentations and stories to executives and project contributors.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal consulting and client teams, including the ability to create and facilitate client workshops.
  • Demonstrated applied experience in establishing and delivering complex projects.

Through cross-functional collaboration, you will also hone your business and consulting skills through interactions with technical and non-technical colleagues. Finally, you will be an active learner, identifying new or better ways to deliver impact with people and technology.
