Electrical Bus Systems Lead

Job Summary
AAA Canada is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Bus Systems Lead to oversee the technical support for electric vehicle deployments, ensure customer satisfaction, and troubleshoot technical issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, excellent analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for electric vehicle deployments and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee service activities, troubleshoot customer issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Support the Market Quality Report (MQR) process to address repeat failures and control warranty costs.
- Perform critical maintenance and repairs as needed and ensure service continuity.
- Specialize in troubleshooting technical problems customers have with their product or service.
- Oversee activities of Service Technicians, including troubleshooting, parts ordering, and part replacement.
- Investigate root cause and develop countermeasures for repeat failures.
- Analyze Mean Distance Between Failure data and issue reliability reports for the customer.
- Support fleet-wide campaign activities.
- Visit customer and company garages regularly to work with local teams and ensure technical resources are available for field repairs.
- Find viable commercial and technical solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Act as liaison with internal teams to resolve customer issues.
- Be on-call during weekends and evenings.
- Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentially.
- Respect and enforce company policies, rules, and values.
- Foster teamwork and improved communication.
Requirements
- College diploma in Avionics Technician or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on and technical experience in the automotive industry.
- Preferably a bachelor's degree in electrical, electrical technology, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering, or other relevant professional experience.
- Ability to communicate globally across all levels of the organization, and with customers and other stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong customer focus, and a positive attitude are key requirements.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and implementation (Siemens TIA Portal and Logo Controller, Beijer) is an asset.
- Independence and resourcefulness.
- Confident and effective decision-maker.
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Bilingualism (French-English) in speaking and writing is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the client site and technical documentation.
