Senior Manager Disaster Recovery



As a key member of the ITSM and Disaster Recovery Operations team at National Bank, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the field of IT operational resilience. Your ability to develop strong collaborative relationships across all areas of the Bank, particularly with IT and BCM partners, will have a positive impact on the delivery of the Bank's objectives.



Your key responsibilities will include:




  • Ensuring the development and ongoing maintenance of Disaster Recovery procedures and tools to support compliance with OSFI's requirements;
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of services proposed by your team and assessing their impact on evolution;
  • Providing leadership in terms of continuous improvement for all of the team's processes, as well as ensuring an overall improvement of DR execution by the Delivery Towers;
  • Ensuring the evolution of processes and practices to keep pace with changes in technology, business, and regulations;
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships with IT and BCM stakeholders to influence them to maximize and optimize disaster recovery capabilities and create new ones;
  • Managing, coaching, and mobilizing a dynamic team of professionals and acting as a leader in the vision and strategy of transformation.


Your team will be part of a close-knit group of 4 colleagues, reporting directly to the Senior Director ITSM and DR Operations. Our team is characterized by its passion for disaster recovery and strong team spirit.

To be successful in this role, you will require:




  • A bachelor's degree related to the industry, combined with 5 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree related to the IT business sector, combined with 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in personnel management in a continuous coaching mode;
  • Experience in process improvement;
  • Knowledge of Jira, desirable;
  • Knowledge in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, desirable;
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of cloud technology, desirable;
  • Demonstrated relational skills and influence;
  • A profile that is positive, innovative, and committed, with a strong advocate of autonomy and idea creation;
  • Leadership in a continuous transformation environment;
  • The ability to mobilize a team towards a common goal.
