About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Floor Covering Installer to join our team at BUTA PREMIUM SERVICES LTD. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining floor coverings in commercial and residential settings.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered accurately
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding with precision
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings efficiently
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations


Installation Specialization:

  • Vinyl or resilient tiles
  • Vinyl or resilient sheets
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Hardwood intricate patterns flooring
  • Linoleum
  • Modular carpet tiles
  • Carpets/rugs


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • The role is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods are required


Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in the trade, preferably in installation and maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with various types of floor coverings and installation techniques
  • Strong communication skills and ability to read and interpret technical documents
