We invite applications for Sessional Instructor positions in the Faculty of Arts & Science to teach the course VISA-2006: Canadian Art: The Modern Era. This 0.5 credit course explores the post-colonial lens through which Canadian modernism developed from the 1920s to the 1960s.
As a Sessional Instructor, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive course outline, preparing studio materials, and delivering lectures, critiques, and evaluations. You will also be expected to promote a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate should have a terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant discipline, as well as experience teaching at the post-secondary level or equivalent professional/practical experience. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, as well as leadership abilities, are essential for this role.
Salary for this position is $6,871.00 per 0.5 credit course, plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, according to the Employment Standards Act. We offer a competitive compensation package and a dynamic work environment.
