Computer Science Professor Position

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto is seeking a Contractually Limited Term Appointment (CLTA) in the field of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream for a three-year term with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Salary
The salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and is competitive with our North American peers. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a pension plan, dental and health insurance, and support for professional development.
Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional teacher and researcher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Science, managing teaching assistants, creating course materials, and contributing to departmental service. Additionally, we encourage applicants to propose research projects that align with our department's strengths and interests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must have earned a Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of two semesters of teaching in a degree-granting program/post-secondary institution. A PhD in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred. Applicants should have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of course material/lectures. Additionally, applicants should possess a demonstrated commitment to excellent pedagogical inquiry and a demonstrated interest in teaching-related scholarly activities.
