Job Summary

As a Warehouse Associate at Sleep Country, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution centers. Your primary responsibilities will include breaking down and palletizing containers accurately and efficiently, picking and packing orders for shipping to our distribution centers across the country, and completing inventory counts with a supervisor. You will also be responsible for inspecting inventory for defects or damages and documenting as required, using an RF scanner to scan products and items into our WMS system, and adhering to all health and safety procedures and regulations. Additionally, you will work with management to ensure that key objectives are achieved and operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Break down and palletize containers accurately and efficiently
  • Pick and pack orders for shipping to our distribution centers across the country
  • Complete inventory counts with a supervisor
  • Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document as required
  • Use an RF scanner to scan products and items into our WMS system
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures and regulations
  • Work with management to ensure that key objectives are achieved
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, the ability to lift a minimum of 88 lbs, and the ability to work in a physical demanding fast-paced environment. Experience in a warehouse environment and knowledge of warehouse management systems would be a definite asset. Additionally, any experience with material handling equipment and RF scanners would be beneficial. Computer knowledge and skills are also a definite asset.
