Construction Contract Administrator Specialist

About the Role

Mobilinx seeks an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for administering and managing subcontracts, ensuring timely and accurate contractual correspondence, and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of assigned subcontracts, maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.
  • Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration, and other major matters.
  • Information Programs: Assist in the implementation of information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions.
  • Compliance and Change Management: Ensure compliance with contract requirements and assist with the implementation of change management procedures.
  • Negotiation and Pricing: Assist with negotiation of change orders and change issues with subcontractors and help identify and track deliverables.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide summary reports as required.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including owners, clients, subcontractors, and public entities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in construction or a related industry is essential.
  • Strong awareness of construction and contract law, business acumen, and effective communication and negotiation skills are necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills are crucial, as well as a commitment to ethical business conduct and confidentiality.
  • Solid experience in change/claims management/dispute resolution issues is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, particularly in a joint venture setting, is vital.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • An engineering background (civil, systems, MEP, or track) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills are highly valued.

What We Offer

Mobilinx offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
