Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned data professional to leverage their expertise in modeling and strategy development to drive business growth. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop innovative solutions.

We're looking for an experienced leader who can coach and mentor junior data scientists, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive project delivery.

About the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining complex risk models that inform personal financing decisions;
  • Collaborating with business partners to design and implement data-driven strategies;
  • Leading discussions with stakeholders to ensure model approval and deployment;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance model performance;
  • Providing technical guidance and coaching to junior team members.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science);
  • 3-5 years of experience in modeling, decision strategies, or relevant data science roles;
  • Proficiency in statistical/econometric models and machine learning techniques;
  • Expertise in programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL;
  • Knowledge of personal credit products and risk management principles;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000, depending on location and experience.
