Division Chief - Division of Cardiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Chief to lead our Division of Cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. As a key member of our Department of Pediatrics, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and quality of care provided by our medical staff, as well as the operational and academic activities of the division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical staff leadership and operational resource oversight in collaboration with the administrative dyad
  • Oversee the safety and quality of care provided by the division
  • Maintain a clinical and academic role within the division
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient care programs
  • Lead education and research initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance the mission of the hospital
Requirements:
  • MD degree and certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in pediatric cardiology or equivalent
  • Eligibility for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa
  • Strong operational and academic leadership skills
  • Proven record of achievement in comprehensive patient care, clinical program development, education, research, and/or quality assurance
