Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your expertise to maintain and repair complex equipment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV) to join our team at United Rentals of Canada, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools, utilizing a high degree of independent judgment.
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment, maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle.
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, including an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
