Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Finning. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics, utilizing Caterpillar SIS and ET daily, and completing technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment repair diagnostics and utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technical documentation, including service reports, warranty, and crossover notes
  • Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
  • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
  • Valid driver's license with a successful recent drivers abstract
  • 10+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended
  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset

Work Environment:

  • This position is based on a 14x14 continuous shift with the Integrated Mobile Team throughout BC
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
