Job Summary: We are seeking a Patient Equipment Transport Specialist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a key member of our patient transport team, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients and equipment within the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Transport patients and equipment within the Centre, ensuring safe and timely delivery.">
  • Clean and maintain equipment as directed.">
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and transferring patients on patient care units.">
  • Oversee the release of deceased patients to funeral homes.">
  • Maintain oxygen therapy and seek direction from professional patient care staff as needed.">
  • Complete Cushman Cart Training and lifts and transfers training within specified timeframes.">

Requirements:

  • High school education, Manitoba standards required.">
  • Basic computer skills required.">
  • Good interpersonal and English communication skills, both oral and written.">
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting requests for service required.">
  • Constant walking (11-15 kms per shift) and lifting of patients and equipment required.">

Working Conditions: This role may involve exposure to infectious diseases and occasional adverse weather conditions.
