Fitter - Nuclear Industry Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our production team at BWX Technologies. As a Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, cost, and delivery expectations of our customers are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all types of fitting operations on Company products
- Install robotic tube hole cleaning equipment and support robotic technical personnel as required
- Set up pre-heat equipment
- Read and interpret Work Orders, Drawings, Shop Instruction Sheets (SIS), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Plan and organize the fitting process
- Select, use and operate measuring and checking equipment
- Perform pressure testing procedures
- Perform studding, arc air, non-pressure welding and component tacking while fitting
- Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of boilers and pressure vessels
- Set up and position pre-heating equipment
- Work in a safe manner and demonstrate good workmanship and practices
Requirements:
- Proven commitment to workplace safety
- Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member
- Previous fitting experience, ideally in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Successful completion of a welder program
- Intermediate understanding of blueprint reading
- Ability to read and understand/interpret drawings, specifications, operating procedures, work orders, etc.
- Available to work all shifts
