Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families in our community. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work autonomously and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor invasive procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote health and wellness in the community.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and eligibility for extended practice registration.
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care.
  • Experience working with clients with mental health and/or addictions an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in community health and primary care settings.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values an asset.
  • Proficiency in an Indigenous language an asset.
