About the Role

At FM Global, we're committed to helping clients maintain business continuity in the face of unexpected events. As a Claims Risk Consultant, you'll play a critical role in assessing damages and implementing loss control measures following an insurance loss.

Key Responsibilities

Assess damages and assist in loss control measures following an insurance loss, working closely with FM Global and affiliated clients. An engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred due to the technical nature of our losses. You'll analyze policy and application, project manage and assess critical path, and negotiate claim settlements with clients.

What We're Looking For

Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiating and consulting, are essential for this role. You'll need to be well-organized, able to make quick and sound recommendations, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, and a Chartered Insurance Professional Designation is considered an asset.

Professional Development

FM Global offers formalized training, including classroom, office, and field-based learning opportunities. Approximately 10% travel can be expected, and this role provides suitable experience to qualify for Professional Engineering status in Ontario.
