Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-time casual hours Personal Support Worker/Caregiver for our Brampton location, specifically for the intersection of Bovaird Dr East and Torbram. As a Personal Support Worker/Caregiver, you will be a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide various personal care services to meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide morning and evening care to clients
  • Prepare meals for clients
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Accompany clients on outings
  • Assist with shopping and errands
  • Remind clients to take medication
  • Assist with ambulation and transportation of clients
  • Provide companionship to clients
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Follow a care plan and document client progress

Qualifications

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid training
  • Ability to communicate in Polish or Russian (preferable)
  • Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Access to the internet and a mobile phone
  • Experience working with dementia or Alzheimer's patients
