About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Claims Manager to join our dynamic team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of claims professionals in managing and resolving auto claims in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of claims professionals in managing and resolving auto claims
- Develop and implement effective claims handling strategies to ensure timely and efficient resolution of claims
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of claims
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide coaching and feedback to team members
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in claims management
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with a minimum of 3-5 years of claims leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices related to claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, serious losses, and coverage questions
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members
