Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Processing Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in a role that requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with established schedules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for production, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Clean and maintain processing equipment and rooms in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements.
  • Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Follow EH&S and GMP requirements, maintaining a safe working environment and reporting potential hazards.
  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic related manufacturing.
  • Ability to maintain records of activities, follow instructions with attention to detail, and work well with limited supervision in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and safety standards, mechanical interest/skill, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
Standards and Expectations

Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, work collaboratively with fellow team members, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, be client and patient conscious at all times, and understand Key Performance Indicators.

Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures, communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner, and consistently strive to improve skills and knowledge in related fields.

Physical Requirements

The position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations, ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time, and manipulation of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds.

Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time, usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort.
