Job Description

Job Title: Processing Technologist I

Job Summary:

Safely manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders.
  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for production.
  • Clean processing equipment and rooms in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
  • Ensure product quality meets Patheon, client, and regulatory agency standards.
  • Follow EH&S and GMP requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic related manufacturing.
  • Ability to maintain records, follow instructions, and work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and safety standards, mechanical interest/skill, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
Standards and Expectations:
  • Follow all EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and adhere to departmental systems.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Actively engage in problem-solving and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate risks to timelines proactively.
Physical Requirements:

The position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination to move about manufacturing locations, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary to operate equipment and read materials for prolonged periods. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
