Job Description:

The Director of Technology and Innovation will provide strategic oversight and coordination of all aspects of IT operations at Progressive Placement Services Ltd. As a key member of the executive team, this position works with stakeholders across the business to identify, prioritize, and deliver on key initiatives that support the efficient growth and scale of our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Strategic Insight: Offer strategic insight into technology and business for the organization, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and Deliver IT Strategy: Define and deliver a strategic IT plan that supports business growth and operations, while maintaining strong focus on managing day-to-day operational effectiveness, business continuity, and IT security.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the executive team, third-party vendors, clients, and other leaders to ensure IT initiatives enable annual business plans and long-term corporate strategy.
  • Manage IT Projects: Define, manage, and deliver on a portfolio of IT projects that span across the business to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Enterprise Application Management: Fully manage the end-to-end suite of enterprise applications, including 3rd party and internally developed solutions.
  • Security and Compliance: Champion security awareness and best practices throughout the organization, staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and threats in cyber security.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop, implement, and test a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
  • Process Improvement: Develop robust process controls that support business efficiency, scale, security, and reliability.
  • Team Leadership: Provide ongoing team mentorship and career development for direct reports, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent knowledge of computer assets, systems, and production ERP systems, with effective oral and written communication skills, and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Analysis and Presentation: Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully and present at an executive level.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate and support company-wide strategic planning and the development of annual budgets and business plans.
  • Travel: Limited travel required.
Requirements:
  • Education: College or University degree or diploma in information technology or computer engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years leadership experience managing a team of IT professionals at a corporate level.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure both on-premises and in various clouds, experience supporting Microsoft365, Engineering CADD, and ERP infrastructure.
  • System Design and Implementation: Experience designing and implementing systems that provide IT service, enterprise applications, and support to all regions of a global business.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, prioritize, and drive initiatives to create efficiency by reducing system administration burden.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong data-driven orientation, identifying KPIs and providing visibility to the business on all IT measures.
  • International Experience: Ability to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • International Experience: Prior experience in an internationally distributed organization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of agriculture and specifically the dairy and cattle industries would be a benefit.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience in a manufacturing setting and production ERP systems would be of benefit, ideally with Visibility ERP software.
Compensation:

$110,000 - $145,000 per year, negotiable
