Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the Data & Reporting team, responsible for implementing Farm Mutual Re's data strategy. This role involves managing a multi-functional team, designing and developing a strong data platform, and ensuring seamless connectivity between systems. The AVP, Data & Reporting will also be accountable for recommending and implementing data management best practices, engaging with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the maintenance of data governance policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Data & Reporting team in implementing the company's data strategy
  • Design and develop a robust data platform to meet current and future data needs
  • Recommend and implement data management best practices
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and flexible data architecture
  • Contribute to the maintenance of data governance policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Data field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading teams, including training and evaluation of others
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling and analysis, as well as an understanding of insurance operations
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms
