Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team at Figurr Architects Collective. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed specifications for interior design projects
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment to develop interior design concepts
  • Create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes
  • Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards
  • Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures
  • Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes
  • Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Operate computerized scanning machines
  • Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD)

Requirements:

  • Interior designer technical certificate
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT
  • Experience in the green economy sector and specialized environmental skills and knowledge
  • Commercial domain experience and furniture design skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
