Job Title: Interior Designer

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team at Figurr Architects Collective. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed specifications for interior design projects
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment with architects and other professionals
  • Create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes
  • Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items
  • Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 5 years or more of experience in interior design
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interior designer technical certificate
  • Proficiency in ARCHICAD, 3D graphic software, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, InDesign, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, SketchUp, and MS Outlook
  • Experience in the green economy sector
