Education Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at École Squamish Elementary. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, intellectual disabilities, and/or social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Collaborate with teachers, Principals, and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
Supervise students in designated areas, ensuring their safety and well-being before, during, and after school hours.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Requirements:
Completion of Grade 12 and a special program, such as the Capilano University Education Assistant Program, or equivalent experience.
Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License and knowledge of basic First Aid.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
