Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Billy's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure accurate and timely food preparation
  • Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
