Claims Representative I, Bodily Injury

Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and interpret coverage to determine adequate reserves and negotiate settlements.
- Contribute to a client-centric culture by embedding engagement philosophies into daily work and implementing innovative decision-making.
- Provide quality client service in accordance with claims service standards.
- Communicate with claimants, lawyers, policyholders, and witnesses in a timely manner.
- Set up and maintain files for assigned claims.
- Handle files in defense litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) using litigation management guidelines.
- Authorize payments and reserves up to $75,000 authority.
- One year of insurance experience or two years of related business experience.
- Working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses.
- Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, internet, and email systems.
- Provincial adjuster license(s) may be required dependent on the province of work.
- University/College Degree.
