We are seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a Claims Adjuster - Transportation Equipment & Cargo Specialist, you will be responsible for handling complex claims related to transportation equipment and cargo.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle claims related to physical damage to power units, trailers, equipment, and cargo
- Investigate theft and fraud cases
- Manage environmental impairment claims related to fuel spills and transport-related spills of other pollutants
- Oversee subrogation cases
- Conduct liability and bodily injury investigations
- Manage accident benefits claims
- Handle transport-related property claims (warehouses, terminals, maintenance facilities)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling TEC claims
- Experience in the transportation industry
- University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance
- Adjuster's license or currently pursuing CIP designation
- Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics
- Good investigative manner
- Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature
- Advanced communication skills, including effective written and oral skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
