We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Recruitment Partners. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the financial operations of our company, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and providing strategic guidance on all accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Operations Management: Manage the overall financial operations of the organization, including the review of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting.
- Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual operating financial results, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Process Improvement: Work with operations to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control current processes which impact internal operating efficiency.
- Auditing: Work with external auditors and oversee the auditing process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Research and Development: Manage research and develop programs for CRA and accounting requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and Development: Lead and develop direct reports, and provide guidance and support to ensure their success in their roles.
- Financial Systems: Provide advice and guidance on all accounting matters, including financial systems, analysis, and reporting.
- Education: University degree in business or accounting, with an advanced degree or professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, etc.).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in the construction industry, with extensive experience in and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal statutes and regulations regarding accounting principles, practices, and applications, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and organizing, critical thinking, and decision-making, with the ability to lead and develop direct reports.
