Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Denny's Fort St John. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Prepare and serve food, including portioning and wrapping items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Take customers' orders and handle cash and credit transactions
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions
  • Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and lifting heavy loads
  • Overtime required during peak periods

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
