We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Development Director to lead our Carbon Engineering team in the development of innovative technologies for carbon capture and utilization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams to achieve corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide exceptional technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, driving the development of new technologies and innovations in carbon capture and utilization.
- Cost Down Efforts: Lead cost down efforts using new and advanced technologies and innovations in 1PointFive's direct air capture technology and/or our technology equity investment partners.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop, negotiate, and coordinate multi-disciplinary partnerships across a wide range of projects simultaneously, leveraging technical leadership and organizational skills.
- Talent Acquisition: Identify and recruit talented individuals with expertise in chemical engineering, materials science, and related fields to enhance and expand the Carbon Engineering team.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or associated field; Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of laboratory, pilot, technology development, or related experience, plus an additional minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience that includes supervision of operating technicians through corporate executive leadership, all in the chemical industry.
- Skills and Competencies: Demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical leadership, and organizational skills; ability to communicate with passion and vision to effectively drive action and/or result; advanced understanding of economic principles and methods as related to early-stage research through commercial financing.
