Regional Lead Opportunity at Canucks Autism Network Society

About the Role

The Canucks Autism Network Society is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Lead to join our Kelowna team. As a Regional Lead, you will be responsible for working within budget to select and plan children's, youth, and adult experience programs that best match local participant interest/demand, staffing availability, and partnerships available in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

* Build partnerships in your community to deliver programs that align with our priorities and processes in each program area, while being cost-efficient and sustainable
* Oversee program delivery: review communication logs from each program and follow up as needed with participant, staffing, or facility concerns
* Be a key point of contact for local participants and their families who have questions, concerns, or other feedback about our programs
* Communicate with local facilities, book facilities, and oversee facility contracts

Marketing, Communications, and Community Events

* In collaboration with our Marketing & Communications and Registration teams, conduct regular surveys with families and youth/adult participants in your area to continuously evaluate local demand and areas for improvement
* In collaboration with our Marketing & Communications team, provide content for local newsletters, including an overview of new programs to highlight, staff "shout outs," and partnered community events
* Propose local community events to attend to promote our programming
* Support Sensory Friendly Space activations at local events, overseeing equipment, staffing, and volunteers for these events

Training & Accessibility Consultation

* Meet with local groups interested in our training (i.e., school staff, recreation/sport providers, other community spaces/organizations) and guide clients to appropriate CAN services (workshops, accessibility consultation, sensory friendly space activations)
* Oversee the delivery of workshops, accessibility consultation, and sensory friendly space activations in your community, following processes and pricing as defined by head office
* Identify local staff who can deliver training and accessibility consultation services, onboard, and mentor these staff, guided by procedures provided from head office

Requirements

* A minimum of 2 years experience planning and overseeing programs for children, youth, and adults with support needs
* Post-Secondary education in a related field such as special education and therapeutic recreation
* Demonstrated ability to work with community partners to deliver programming
* Experience with marketing/communications and/or fundraising is an asset
* Experience with Canucks Autism Network is an asset
* Valid BC Driver's License
* Previous program planning and facilitation is an asset
* Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
* Strong presentation and teaching skills, able to deliver training and workshops to a range of audiences
* A collaborative relationship builder with community partners and stakeholders
* Willing to travel to Vancouver for annual training
* Working knowledge of current local sport, recreation, and community leisure trends
* Passionate about Canucks Autism Network and its values
