Maintenance Person Job Description
Crest Hotel is seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- General Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Advising and Reporting: Advertise vacancy and perform safety and security checks.
- Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
