Job Description

Marche Mon Pitou is seeking a part-time Barista/Server to join our team. This position involves working a variable schedule of 15-20 hours per week, based on business needs. Shifts are typically 5 hours, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks for closing the store, including cleaning and shutting down equipment.
  • Prepare and serve coffee orders throughout the day using a state-of-the-art espresso machine.
  • Provide table service for dine-in guests during brunch hours.
  • Work independently and oversee the entire storefront.
  • Sell retail products, including online orders through third-party delivery services.
  • Package and store away retail meals.
  • Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon.
  • Build rapport with new and returning customers.
  • Liaise with other peers to help where needed.
  • Properly clean and maintain equipment.
  • Stock and restock in-store products and goods.
  • Organize, wash, and maintain dishware.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Represent the company professionally and knowledgeably.
  • Minimize waste and prevent unnecessary expenses.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must have Saturday and Sunday availability, with scheduling based on business needs.
  • 2 years of experience as a barista in a fast-paced establishment is required.
  • 6 months of serving experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Lightspeed POS is a strong asset.
  • Ability to multitask and think critically.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Collaborative, honest, and dependable.
  • Fluent in English.
  • FoodSafe certification is a bonus.
