Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at MEDLOG Transport & Logistics. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong background in regulatory compliance, logistics, and risk management.

About the Role

This Compliance Specialist position will play a critical role in ensuring that our company operates within the bounds of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with these requirements, as well as identifying potential areas of vulnerability and risk.

You will work closely with senior management and other departments to develop and implement effective compliance programs, including policies, procedures, and controls. Your expertise will help us maintain a culture of integrity, ethical decision-making, and commitment to compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and industry standards, advising the company on necessary changes.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce the company's compliance program, including policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Manage vendor onboarding and business partner processes.
  • Assess vendors' capacity and performance.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
  • Design and deliver training programs for employees on compliance-related topics, ensuring awareness and understanding of policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and education to management and staff on compliance issues.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to compliance activities, including audit findings, risk assessments, and regulatory filings.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the company's operations in transportation and logistics.
  • Proficiency in compliance software and reporting tools.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers.
