Job Summary

The City of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in the Environmental Engineering department. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing TSSA Related Maintenance Repairs, Inspections & Design Support for projects oriented towards TSSA Code Compliance. This will include special studies, inspection, or service contracts with a focus on condition assessment, renewal or rehabilitation of facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage TSSA Related Maintenance Repairs, Inspections & Design Support for projects oriented towards TSSA Code Compliance
  • Develop cost-effective maintenance management programs for drinking water treatment and sewage treatment facilities
  • Provide technical knowledge & experience with TSSA Boilers & Pressure Vessels regulations & applicable ASME Codes
  • Assume the role of Boiler Pressure Vessel Coordinator for our TSSA Quality Assurance Program
  • Work closely with Operational Clients to meet their departmental needs and support projects
  • Review all Inspection Reports, recommend repairs & initiate Projects to ensure all equipment meets code requirements

Requirements

  • Completion of 4-year university degree in Engineering or Applied Science specializing in one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years of related and progressively responsible experience in a municipal engineering environment, in the planning, design, construction and rehabilitation of facilities or network (linear) physical infrastructure
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is desirable
