Special Education Professional for Autism Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Professional to join our team at Majestic Minds Mental Health & Autism Services.
About the Role:This is a full-time position, working 32 hours per week, with a salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and autism support, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessing Clients' Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' cognitive, social, and emotional barriers, as well as their physical limitations and mobility requirements.
- Developing Adaptation Plans: Create individualized plans to help clients overcome their challenges and achieve their goals, including rehabilitation programs and life skills training.
- Collaborating with Specialists: Work closely with occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive support plans that meet each client's unique needs.
- Supervising Staff: Provide guidance and oversight to office and volunteer staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Education: A college diploma or degree in a related field, such as special education or psychology.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Proficiency in braille, lip-reading, sign language, and rehabilitative techniques is an asset.
