Job Title: Plastering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Plastering Specialist to join our team at M & R ROOFING,SIDING AND RENOVATION LTD. As a Plastering Specialist, you will be responsible for applying, levelling and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plastering projects
  • Instruct apprentices in plastering techniques
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Estimate costs and materials for plastering projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
