About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Consultant to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Professional Practice team, you will play a critical role in advancing quality clinical practice and promoting excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice Consultation and Leadership: Provide expert guidance and support to clinicians, managers, and directors to ensure Fraser Health Authority is a leader in clinical care and a professional practice environment.
  • Practice Assessment and Advice: Offer expert advice and problem-solving for complex practice challenges, ensuring that our clinical teams have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Implementation Planning: Collaborate with Directors, Professional Practice to develop implementation plans that support compliance with legislation and regulations, ensuring that our clinical practices are aligned with best practices and standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee and support projects and initiatives, incorporating change management and knowledge translation considerations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Health Human Resources Utilization: Maximize health human resources utilization by facilitating full scope of practice for all categories of health providers, ensuring that our clinical teams are working to their full potential.
  • Clinical Policy and Procedure Development: Recommend and lead or contribute to the development of new clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that our clinical practices are evidence-based and aligned with best practices.
  • Clinical Decision Support Tools: Contribute or provide consultation to current or new clinical decision support tools, ensuring that our clinical teams have access to the information and resources they need to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Practice Education and Development: Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate practice education programs, ensuring that our clinical teams have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Representation and Collaboration: Represent Fraser Health Authority and Professional Practice at various events, including educational family forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and external committees, ensuring that our clinical practices are aligned with best practices and standards.
  • Clinical Research and Development: Support clinical research to promote the development of clinical knowledge and its application to professional practice, ensuring that our clinical teams have access to the latest evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved clinical health profession with a Master's degree in that health profession or in health administration, education, or related field. A minimum of five (5) years' recent, related clinical and/or education experience in a complex health care environment, including progressive professional practice, education, project management, and leadership experience.
  • Competencies: Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed.
  • Professional/Technical Capabilities: Knowledge of health care system and provincial educational systems, thorough knowledge and experience working with complex health care organizations, demonstrated knowledge of applicable regulatory body/association standards, ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and innovative thinking, and is current regarding evolving trends and practices.
