We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Consultant, Professional Practice to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our professional practice team, you will play a vital role in advancing quality clinical practice and promoting safe, ethical, and quality health outcomes for our patients, clients, and residents.
Key Responsibilities- Practice Leadership: Provide consultation leadership and guidance to clinicians, managers, and directors to ensure Fraser Health Authority is a leader in clinical care and a professional practice environment.
- Practice Assessment and Advice: Offer practice assessment, advice, and problem-solving for complex practice challenges.
- Implementation Planning: Collaborate with Directors, Professional Practice to develop implementation plans that support compliance with legislation and regulations for the appropriate professional group(s).
- Project Oversight: Oversee and support projects and initiatives, incorporating change management and knowledge translation considerations.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee specific PPI staff as designated and related projects as assigned, including the supervision of day-to-day operational work.
- Health Human Resources Utilization: Maximize health human resources utilization by facilitating full scope of practice for all categories of health providers.
- Clinical Policy Development: Recommend and lead or contribute to the development of new clinical policies and procedures.
- Information Dissemination: Obtain, review, and disseminate current information, including professional standards of practice, professional scope of practice, ethical standards of practice, and limits and conditions.
- Practice Education: Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate practice education programs funded by the Nursing Directorate or Fraser Health Authority.
- Representation: Represent Fraser Health Authority and Professional Practice at various events, including educational family forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and external committees.
- Practice Development: Collaborate with various professional practice councils to support practice development in Fraser Health Authority through the development of multidisciplinary and discipline-specific clinical tools.
- Research Support: Support clinical research to promote the development of clinical knowledge and its application to professional practice.
We are seeking a candidate with a Graduate degree in a clinical health profession or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years' recent, related clinical and/or education experience in a complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of partnerships, excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and innovative thinking.
